We tear out the old surface, dig out failed material below it, place and compact sub-base aggregate, cut proper cross-slope, and lay the new surface tight enough to seal against water.
Overlays: when they're the right call
Not every driveway needs a tear-out. If the base underneath is still solid and the top is just faded, an overlay buys you another 8 to 12 years for a fraction of the cost. We inspect the base, check the edges, and give you the honest answer: overlay, patch, or full replace.
Asphalt or chip seal: your choice
Asphalt gives you the smooth black finish most homeowners picture. Chip seal gives you a tougher, lower-cost surface that handles long rural drives well. We'll walk you through the trade-offs based on what your property looks like and how long you plan to be there.
